OUR MISSION
To unlock and develop empathy in children, as a critical means to disrupting cycles of violence and abuse.

EMPATHY
To have empathy is not a choice. It is an ability that is easily lost when we shut down emotions that have become too painful to bear.

COPING
With effective coping strategies in place, we can lessen the mental and emotional impact of traumatic experiences.

WHY ANIMALS?
We believe that animals are better than us at making meaningful connections – for all ages and across cultural divides.
Meaningful, sustainable change
The EDEN Approach
Empathy cannot simply be taught. It requires certain conditions to develop and grow.
EDUCATION
When children learn about animal rights, they learn about human rights too.
DEMONSTRATION
We demonstrate empathy through our own words and actions.
EXPERIENCE
Learning and growth happen best through hands-on, active participation.
NURTURING
Ongoing personal development supports the capacity for empathy.
